Our driving mission is to help dogs lead happy and active lives
Stem Cell Vet is headed up by veterinary surgeon Dr Stewart Halperin BVMS MRCVS. Dr Halperin understands first hand how upsetting it can be to have a dog who is unwell. In fact it’s why he became a Vet.
Stewart became a Vet because he never wanted anyone to hear the words he was told by his Vet, “There’s nothing more we can do”.
As a young boy, his dog Benji became inactive. Despite seeing many vets, his family was told there was nothing more they could do for Benji. Stewart felt helpless and it was then that he decided to become a vet and dedicate his life to helping dogs live happier lives.
What we do
We carry out stem cell therapy for dogs with arthritis and bone and tendon injuries. This includes hip and elbow dysplasia, degenerative joint disease and inflammation and partial cruciate ligament rupture.
We have developed our own triple therapy method which is unique to our clinic and directly contributes to our high success rates.
Pet owners who see us have dogs who are struggling with arthritis related conditions. Almost all have tried other solutions such as medications, weight loss, diets, hydrotherapy, Librela and sometimes surgery.
These solutions have often not been enough and our clients want a better outcome for their dogs. This is where we can help.
Here at Stem Cell Vet, we utilise the latest advances in science to provide life-changing treatments such as stem cell therapy to help dogs like yours, become mobile and pain free again.

Your dog doesn’t have to live with the pain and reduced mobility of arthritis, which can persist even with medication or surgery
Arthritis care for dogs has advanced a lot in recent years and excellent treatments are now available. In some ways the treatments for canine arthritis are better than those available for humans!
Stem cell therapy for dogs has been commercially available since 2004. Thousands of dogs have been successfully treated around the world. However, the technology has only more recently come to the UK.
These life-changing therapies represent a great leap forward in the treatment of arthritis and related conditions in dogs and we’re very excited to be at the forefront of this new technology.
