Stemcellvet UK is a team of Veterinary Surgeons and nurses dedicated to improving the lives of cats and dogs in the UK. Headed up by Veterinary Surgeon Dr Stewart Halperin MRCVS, we have been trained in stem cell technology and techniques by Dr Mike Hutchinson DVM, who has personally carried out more than 400 stem cell procedures on dogs and cats in the USA.
Dr Stewart Halperin BVMS MRCVS
After working for some time in referral and emergency practices in London, in 2002 Stewart started his own practice that has grown into the Petcare group in West London. In addition to acting as Director for the London-based surgeries, Stewart also runs the Bruton Veterinary Surgery in Somerset.
Stewart was previously a Director of the London Veterinary Forum. Stewart has a further qualification in arbitration that allows him to carry out expert witness work and is veterinary advisor to Braidlock, an innovative healthcare company.
He regularly attends continuing professional education courses, both in the UK and abroad. In early 2012 after in house training by Dr Mike Hutchinson DVM and the Medivet team, Stewart became the first vet in the UK to carry out Adipose derived Stem Cell transplants in a dog with osteoarthritis.
Stewart lives with Nicola, his daughter Honey, her pony Lucy, and their cat Maple.
